My home sweet home!

Hi, I’m Lizette Claudio, most people I know call me Liz (and you’re welcome to call me that, too). While I was born in the US, I was raised in the Philippines. I love both countries! I’m currently living in Southern California, but I’ll always call Metro Manila my home.

What I Do

I feel like I’ve lived multiple lives. I used to live an action-packed life, working in the magazine, music, and TV industries in various roles (e.g. brand management, talent relations, publicity/press relations), for companies and brands such as MTV, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Candy, and Preview, among others.

Up until the end of 2010, I was teaching classes and workshops, mostly for non-profit student centers in underserved communities in Metro Manila. At present, I still serve as a consultant for RepubLIKHA, a non-profit organization that believes in empowering the next generation through music.

At the moment, I’m busy juggling my graduate studies in the field of leadership while participating in various ministry projects. When I don’t have my nose buried in my books, you’ll find me listening to podcasts or music on my iPod, trying to exercise, and spending time with the people I love.

What else you need to know about me

I love people but I’m an introvert. I love breakfast food, cheese, gummy bears, popcorn, berries, and hot chocolate. I love theme parks and nature parks, film scores and bookstores. I love gadgets and trees, and so many things. I love my family and I love my friends. And above all these, I love God! :)

Why I write

I started this blog as a way to stay connected to my students long after a workshop is done or a semester is over, but it eventually extended into a place to connect with friends, fellow bloggers, and readers from around the world.

The Bible says that “What you say flows from what is in your heart” (Luke 6:45 NLT), and there are three topics that always fill my heart: faith, hope, and love. Through these, my life was radically changed, such that I can’t help but think about these things all the time and write about them too!

My hope is that this blog sparks lots of thoughts, revelations, and conversations between me and you!
